About Henrietta

After working for years as a gardener, and having had three children, I assumed that bad posture and niggling lower back pain was a way of life. I had this pain for years before joining my friends on a Pilates course, tempted by the coffee afterwards! In just a few months my posture had improved and the pain that I had been experiencing had all but vanished. This meant I could continue to pursue all the sports activities I loved such as running, cycling, playing tennis and skiing, pain free and with a stronger, more flexible body.

Several years later I decided to train to become a Pilates teacher in order to share my knowledge and passion of Pilates to help others move freely and without pain. I am a fully certified Level 3 Classical Pilates Teacher. I also went on to do further teacher training to become a fully certified Level 3 APPI Pilates Matwork Pilates Instructor. The APPI method is widely used by the NHS for rehabilitation, in elite sport to build athletes’ strength and endurance, and by many professional dance companies, including the English National Ballet.

APPI is founded on Joseph Pilates’ original exercises and updated with the latest research in physiotherapy. The teaching is safe and highly effective. As well as helping build strength and fitness, APPI Pilates can help with injury prevention and management. www.appihealthgroup.com
